This is a story that is a must-have item because it is funny and captivating for people belonging to every age group. The fun part is that grandma Mazur is ready to get married again at an age when people usually don’t fall in love rather they end up in a grave. The second surprise for Stephanie Plum is that her grandmother is not marrying an ordinary guy rather she is going to marry the local gangster named Jimmy Rosolli.
Stephanie gets worried because she thinks that her grandmother has picked the wrong guy for her second marriage at such an old age. Mazur on the other hand is pretty sure that she has made the right decision as Jimmy really loves her from the core of his heart. After listening to the serious missions of Going Rogue and Dangerous Minds this one looks a bit comic at the start. The story gets a twist when Jimmy dies because of a heart attack after the marriage vows.
Mazur feels really grieved at first and later at the funeral she gets stunned when Jimmy’s business partner thinks that the old lady was hiding all the money for herself. Stephanie Plum realizes that her grandmother is in danger and she has to gather the band together to solve this case.
Janet Evanovich is the only writer who can change a comic situation into a murder mystery. Lorelei King was ready for this change that’s why the narration was serious from the beginning. Later the situation gets more and more intense as things from Jimmy’s past start coming to the surface one by one.
