Life was simple for Ivy Morgan at eighteen when she was like all other average girls of the town. Living with her family was fun and then she had the best of friends in the school. One trip just changed everything for her when her family got killed without any reason by creatures that were not human at all. From that day she joined the band of girls that live a normal life but from the inside, they are trained hunters who are trying to save the human world from the dark forces that are trying to take over the land.
Ivy does not share her secret with anyone and she has no time for love in her life because she has to find those that killed her family without any reason. Ren Owens enters Ivy’s life and disturbs the balance a little, suddenly their relationship starts getting stronger and Ivy feels that she has to put her guard down.
If the girl does such a thing then her secrets would be leaked and her enemies could attack her in a better way. Irony happens just like From Blood and Ash and A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire when the boy also comes up with new things from under his sleeve.
Together the two start the campaign and looks like they were searching for the same enemy. Amy Landon’s voice in the narration gives a joyous touch to the story and the love scenes get decorated well because of the narration. One thing is for sure i.e nothing is normal in this story so do listen to it with full concentration.
