Tornians had the oddest of rules and these rules don’t give any chance to a third male to rise in life. That’s where Ynyr comes into the picture, being the third male in the family he had no future in life. No female in the domain wants to establish a relationship with a third male. His brothers the first and second male had great opportunities in life, especially the first one who was going to be a lord soon.
Between all of this, all Ynyr can think about is defending his land from foreign invaders and getting killed in the process. Description of this world stops for a while and M.K. Eidem introduces us to Abby who is a human girl and she is living a dissatisfied life on earth. The girl lost her parents when she was just a teenager and now she is not planning for marriage rather she wants to educate children to get the feeling of a mother.
When she is abducted and taken to Tornian land her life also changes unexpectedly. There she gets the chance to meet Ynyr and the tale of their romance beings in the voice of Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill. They have secrets that they cannot tell to anyone and this takes the story equal in level to Oryon (Tornians) and Cassandra’s Challenge.
The relationship of these two becomes a threat for them but they think that it is the only way they can survive. Moreover, the bondage between the two changes into love very soon and they think that it is worth sacrificing for instead of running away.
